Description

Juan Gil Blue Label Cuvée À 2022 is the most exclusive and unique version of the iconic Blue Label of Bodegas Juan Gil in the D.O. Jumilla. Released for the first time in the 2022 vintage, this Cuvée À is born from the same selection of organic Monastrell vineyards planted in glass, without irrigation, on limestone and stony soils at 700 meters of altitude, which produce small-sized grapes with enormous concentration.

What differentiates this cuvée from the rest is its mixed aging for 18 months: 60% of the wine matures in 500/600 liter French oak barrels and the remaining 40% in terracotta clay amphorae, where it undergoes malolactic fermentation. This unique combination provides the best of both worlds: the complexity and structure of the barrel with the minerality, freshness and fruit expression that only clay can provide.
