Ron Bermudez Distillery
The tradition that began in 1852 continued with José Armando Bermúdez Rochet, son of Erasmo, who with a holistic vision, great determination and profound effort created the formula for a refined Rum, pleasant to the palate and unique in the world: the formula for Dominican Rum.
Years later José Armando bought the name “La Sin Rival Fábrica de Licores” from his father, laying the foundations that would turn Dominican Rum into a national industry with a presence in international markets.
The fourth, fifth, and sixth generations, respectively, took charge of an industry that runs in their blood, that is engraved in the heart and preference of the Dominican people with indelible ink; who have continued with the same commitment, dedication and love, sharing the passion for the art of creating an exquisite and well-crafted Rum for the Dominican Republic and the world.
This is the story surrounding the first Dominican Rum, a story that blends with the very essence of Dominican identity. As the song goes: “This is my country, this is its people, its Rum is Bermúdez, its rhythm merengue.”
