On the nose it stands out for its high intensity and its breadth of aromatic registers. Initially, notes of red forest fruits, black cherry and blueberries appear, giving way to a wide range of aromas from its barrel aging - tobacco, black pepper, tea leaf, coffee, mocha, vanilla and cinnamon - that provide a fruity and balsamic bouquet.
Fine, balanced and elegant in the mouth. Its freshness and softness stands out thanks to elegant and friendly tannins that provide a refined finish. Long, complex and friendly aftertaste. A wine for aging, but at an ideal time to enjoy.
16 - 18ºC.
“Probably one of the freshest, most sophisticated and most elegant Gran Reserva 904 in our history. The key, the extraordinary maturation of our Tempranillo and Graciano. Everything in its place, at the most appropriate time. I wish it a long and promising life in the bottle.” Julio Sáenz (Oenologist).
HARVEST 2016:
Magnificent vintage, in quality and quantity, with wines that stand out for their depth and persistence. Moderate and well-distributed rains during the cycle mitigated the effects of drought and summer temperatures. Wines with notable acidity-degree balance, high intensity and aromatic quality. Excellent maturity with round tannins. For us, a VERY GOOD harvest (+), with an internal rating of 95 points.
